Join us on Sunday, November 2, for an afternoon of reflection and remembrance during the “Light a Candle” event.
Everyone in Delft is warmly invited to honor the memory of loved ones who have passed away by lighting a candle and sharing their thoughts on a communal cloth.

2:30 PM – Outdoor candle lighting at the Markt
3:00 PM – Remembrance service in the Nieuwe Kerk
Let us come together in community and comfort as we light the path of remembrance
The afternoon begins outside at the Marketplace at 2:30 PM, where you can light a candle as an expression of remembrance.
At 3:00 PM, we invite you to enter the Nieuwe Kerk for a time of reflection focused on shared mourning.
The service includes music, readings, poetry, and moments of silence and prayer, and will be presented in both Dutch and English.
This heartwarming event is offered in collaboration with CityKerk Delft, Stadsklooster Delft, and the Interchurch Diaconal Center De Jessehof, together with the Council of Churches Delft.
